Petra Automotive Recognized in AutoSuccess Champions of Charity Program

The company is honored for its program, Petra-Cares which provides job training and placement for at-risk youth

CYPRESS, TX, Oct. 3, 2023 — Petra Automotive Products, the fastest-growing premium automotive products manufacturer in the world, has been named a Champions of Charity honoree by AutoSuccess, a Babcox Media brand. 

The Champions of Charity program recognizes automotive industry companies that are making a difference in their communities, businesses, and beyond with their charitable acts and donations.

Petra Automotive was selected as an honoree for its work through Petra Cares, its charitable arm dedicated to helping young adults aging out of foster care and at-risk youth by providing job training and placement in the auto repair industry.

“We’re very honored by this recognition but what’s more fulfilling is seeing the first class of foster students in the Petra Cares training program graduate and earn jobs as service technicians at Houston area dealerships this past August,” said Arnold Gacita, president of Petra Automotive Products. “We couldn’t be more proud of this group and have high hopes for them and future classes.”

Every year, hundreds of youth age out of the foster care system in the Houston area. The statistical outcomes for many of these young adults are bleak, with homelessness, incarceration, and extreme poverty in many of those emancipated from state oversight and care.

 Petra Cares intends to change these outcomes by providing free auto mechanic training and job placement for up to 20% of those youth. Petra Cares’ eight-week program provides transportation, course materials, tools, childcare, technical training, and life skills to students. Upon completion, students are matched with employers via the Petra Automotive Products, Inc. car dealership and repair shops business network.

Mopar® and Petra Automotive Products Partner to Launch  New Maintenance Products to Dealers Across North America 

CYPRESS, Texas - (September 6, 2023) - Petra Automotive Products, the fastest growing premium automotive products manufacturer in the world, is proud to announce 11 of their best-in-class products will be launched under the Mopar® brand for Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep®, Ram and FIAT® dealerships in the US, Canada and Mexico. 

The goal of the Mopar chemical program is to increase Fixed Ops profits and success for participating dealerships by offering premium products. Petra will provide a suite of Mopar products, including chemicals to help maintain the fuel system, diesel fuel system and A/C systems of the vehicles serviced. 

“If a vehicle owner is experiencing common performance problems, like sluggish or delayed acceleration, the results provided by the Mopar Premium Fuel System Cleaning Kit is an easy solution that dealers can perform quickly in their service bays,” says Benjamin Nash, Mopar Product Manager. “The Premium Fuel System Cleaning Kit service will dissolve varnish and carbon in injectors, valves and combustion chambers, improve fuel economy, reduce emissions and restore power.” 

To support Stellantis dealerships in selling these maintenance services to their service customers, Petra will provide training to instruct technicians on how to use the application tools and cleaning products properly, train advisors on how to best offer these services to the customer, as well as provide any Point-of-Service (POS) materials needed. In addition, Stellantis dealers that qualify will also receive factory rebates and loyalty benefits. Dealerships new to the program can receive free equipment with their initial qualifying purchase.
